NBCOT Welcomes New Ambassadors to Strengthen Outreach and Engagement

NBCOT is proud to welcome a new group of dedicated ambassadors to our NBCOT Ambassador Program, expanding our network of representatives across the country. This program is designed to connect occupational therapy professionals with students, educators, employers, and other stakeholders, helping to increase awareness of NBCOT’s mission and the value of certification.

This year, we are excited to introduce new ambassadors from 13 states, further strengthening our nationwide presence:

  • Alabama
  • Arizona
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Kansas
  • Maine
  • Michigan
  • Nevada
  • New Hampshire
  • New Mexico
  • South Carolina
  • Utah
  • Virginia

The new ambassadors will bring diverse experiences and a shared commitment to excellence in occupational therapy as they step into their role alongside seasoned ambassadors. Together, they strengthen NBCOT’s nationwide network, ensuring that students, educators, regulators, and practitioners have access to the information and support they need. As representatives of NBCOT, ambassadors play a key role in engaging with external stakeholders, promoting certification, and upholding the highest standards of OT practice.

Coming Together to Learn and Lead

To prepare for their role, our ambassadors recently gathered for a comprehensive orientation session, where they learned about NBCOT’s mission, the certification process, and key initiatives. This training ensures they are equipped to serve as knowledgeable, engaged representatives who can provide valuable insights and resources to the OT community.

What Ambassadors Do

NBCOT Ambassadors serve as local points of contact to:

Engage students and practitioners by sharing resources on certification and professional growth.

Attend and represent NBCOT at OT events, conferences, and meetings.

Provide insights to external stakeholders on the value of certification and its impact on practice.

Help bridge the gap between NBCOT and the OT community, ensuring professionals have the information they need to succeed.
